TOEFL Requirement for Finland Universities: Minimum Score

Turku and Tampere both set 78 overall with 20 in writing for bachelor's admission, and the University of Helsinki sets 92 with 22 in writing. TOEFL changed its scale on 21 January 2026, and the Finnish universities have published the equivalents: Turku now asks 4 overall with every sub test at 3.5 or above, and Aalto asks 4.5 overall with 4.0 in every sub test for master's admission. Helsinki said in autumn 2026 that its own figure on the new scale was still being decided. A score more than two years old cannot be verified.
