LUT University Admission 2027: Deadlines, Fees, Requirements

LUT runs an international rolling admission for its English-taught bachelor's programmes, and it works differently from the competitive joint application the rest of Finland uses. The round for studies starting in autumn 2027 runs from 1 September 2026 to 30 April 2027 at 23:59 Finnish time, and LUT states that an applicant who meets all the requirements is admitted without competition for as long as places remain, so a programme can close before the deadline. An applicant may hold only one rolling application at a time, and the route is open to anyone completing an upper secondary degree outside Finland by 31 August 2027. Eligibility has two halves. English is proved by test or exemption. Mathematics is proved by meeting the grade point requirement for the qualification, or by SAT, ACT or the Online Mathematics Placement Test; applicants to an engineering programme also upload the mathematics curriculum of their upper secondary qualification. An accepted applicant then faces a chain of hard deadlines: tuition within 21 days of the admission decision, electronically verified or original documents at the Lappeenranta campus by 30 July 2027 at 15:00, and final graduation deadlines on 31 August and 6 September 2027. LUT states that a place is revoked automatically and without exception if documents do not arrive as requested. One more consequence is worth knowing before accepting: confirming a LUT place through rolling admission ends the ability to confirm any other higher education place starting in Finland in autumn 2027, at LUT or anywhere else.
