Admission at a glance
The University of Vaasa admits international students through rolling admission and Finland's joint application round. For autumn 2026 entry, master's rolling admission ran from 1 October 2025 to 30 April 2026 and the joint round from 7 to 21 January 2026, while bachelor's rolling admission ran from 23 October 2025 to 31 March 2026; dates for 2027 have not been published. Applicants from outside the EU, EEA or Switzerland pay an application fee of EUR 100. Applicants need IELTS Academic 6.5 with at least 5.5 in each section, TOEFL iBT 92, PTE Academic 62 or a Cambridge C1 Advanced result of C, unless they studied in English in a qualifying country. Non-EU/EEA tuition is EUR 10,000 a year for the international bachelor's programme in Business Administration and EUR 14,000 a year for master's programmes, and the fee is waived for EU/EEA citizens and holders of certain Finnish residence permits. For the 2026 intake, bachelor's students who paid within 35 days of their offer received a EUR 2,000 early bird discount and could get EUR 5,000 waivers in later years after completing set credits, and master's students could receive a EUR 6,000 early bird discount in the first year and an Academic Achievement Scholarship of EUR 6,000 in the second.
