Admission at a glance
Most programmes at the University of Eastern Finland have a single application period, the national joint application, which for the September 2027 intake runs from 7 January to 21 January 2027 through Studyinfo.fi. The exception is the Economics and Business Administration programmes, which run an early application period in October, and Erasmus Mundus and other joint programmes have their own timetables. One Studyinfo form lets an applicant apply to up to six programmes, and an application fee is charged. Everything is uploaded as scans during the application period, including educational certificates, proof of language proficiency and programme-specific attachments, and nothing is posted. Applicants who have not yet graduated can be accepted conditionally, but must upload their latest official transcript by the end of the application period and supply the final certified certificate by the set deadline. Verified educational documents have a deadline of their own, 29 May in the 2026 round, and the conditionally granted study right is cancelled if verification is not completed by then. Where an entrance examination is required, invitations go by email to selected applicants, and results are announced in the spring after the application period. UEF states that no waivers of the language requirement are granted and that late documents are not accepted.
