Åbo Akademi University runs one admission round a year for its international master's degree programmes, applied for through Studyinfo.fi, with studies starting the following August. For August 2027, the application period opens on 7 January 2027 at 8:00 and closes on 21 January 2027 at 15:00 Helsinki time, enclosures must be uploaded by 28 January 2027, and results are published at the beginning of April. Application fees apply to applicants from outside the EU/EEA, as set out on Studyinfo.fi. Applicants need IELTS Academic 6.5 with no band below 6.0, TOEFL iBT 92, PTE Academic 68 with at least 61 in writing, or a Cambridge C1 Advanced result of C, unless they hold a degree taught entirely in English in a listed country. Tuition for 2027 is EUR 12,000 a year for all nine English-taught master's programmes, including Information Technology, Biomedical Imaging, and International Law and Human Rights. For students admitted in 2026 or later, an early commitment offer of EUR 4,000 lowers the first-year fee to EUR 8,000 if the place is accepted and paid by the stated deadline, and every admitted student receives a EUR 4,000 reduction in the second year without a separate application.
