English test waiver
For the international rolling admission to bachelor's programmes, LUT accepts TOEFL iBT and the Home Edition at an overall 90 with at least 22 in writing and in speaking, or an overall 4.5 with at least 4 in writing and speaking on the scale introduced in 2026; IELTS Academic or IELTS Online at an overall 6.5 with at least 6.0 in writing and in speaking; PTE Academic or PTE Academic Online at an overall 62 with at least 54 in writing and in speaking; and Cambridge at 180. A SAT with at least 600 in Evidence-Based Reading and Writing is also accepted. Test results are valid for two years. A language test is not required from an applicant who has completed a higher education degree taught in English at an institution in an EU or EEA country, Australia, Canada or Ireland. Note that LUT sets a lower bar in its regular admission to technology bachelor's programmes, TOEFL iBT 80 with 20 in writing or IELTS 6.0 with 5.5 in writing, so the figures here are the rolling admission ones that apply to applicants from outside the EU and EEA.
