Admission at a glance
The University of Turku takes applications to its English taught bachelor's programmes once a year, always in January, with studies beginning the following August. The 2027 round runs 7 to 21 January 2027 and closes at 15.00 Finnish time, on the national portal Studyinfo, where the form is visible only while the window is open. There are two admission groups. Group I is ranked on the SAT, using the total of the Evidence-Based Reading and Writing and Mathematics sections; the digital SAT is accepted, the test may not be more than two years older than the end of the application period, and the applicant both uploads the score and asks the test provider to send it to the university directly. Group II is for applicants holding a recognised school leaving qualification. An applicant who has both a SAT score and such a qualification may apply in both groups. Enclosures are attached within a week of the deadline, and a certificate of graduation for a prospective school leaver has its own later date. The detailed admission criteria for the January intake are published on Studyinfo in September. Turku warns that the tests take months to book and sit, so the preparation starts well before the application window.
