The University of Turku charges tuition to every applicant who is not a citizen of an EU or EEA country or Switzerland. The fee is set per programme at either 10,000 or 12,000 euros per academic year: the Bachelor's Degree Programme in Information and Communication Technology and master's programmes in education, human neurosciences, East Asian studies and social policy are at 10,000, while the science, engineering, health technology and biomedical master's programmes are at 12,000. The law requiring Finnish universities to charge full cost tuition took effect on 1 August 2026 and applies to students who start from that date. Every fee liable student who meets the criteria is eligible for a scholarship covering 50 per cent of the tuition for the following year, awarded on academic merit alone, and a returning student can keep it by making the required progress. A newly admitted master's student who accepts the offer and pays within 28 days of the decision gets an early bird discount of 2,000 euros. The Fulbright University of Turku Graduate Award covers tuition plus a grant of 1,000 euros a month.
