Admission at a glance
Stockholm University admits bachelor's and master's students through universityadmissions.se, the national portal used by every Swedish university. Applicants who are not citizens of the EU, EEA or Switzerland apply in the international round for autumn entry, which opens 16 October 2026 and closes 15 January 2027, with supporting documents and the SEK 900 national application fee due 1 February 2027 and results published 1 April 2027 for master's programmes. These national dates and the application fee are confirmed on universityadmissions.se and are recorded here on that basis, since su.se itself could not be reached during this research run.
su.se refused every direct connection attempted for this record, on pages covering both tuition fees and English language requirements, returning a connection error rather than a page. A web search of Google's index of su.se suggested tuition priced by subject area, roughly SEK 90,000 a year for humanities, social sciences and law programmes and SEK 140,000 a year for science programmes, with some programmes priced in between and a few collaborative programmes higher, plus an English requirement matching the standard Swedish English 6 threshold. None of this could be read directly on the university's own page during this run, so none of it is recorded as a confirmed figure; it is noted here only as a lead for a follow up visit.
Stockholm University teaches a wide range of subjects in English at master's level, with admission based on documented academic merit against the requirements published for each programme. Non-EU/EEA students who accept an offer pay tuition to the university, then apply for a residence permit for studies through Migrationsverket; neither the payment deadline nor the exact tuition figure could be confirmed on an official page during this run.
