Admission at a glance

Malmo University admits bachelor's and master's students through universityadmissions.se, the national portal used across Sweden. Non-EU, non-EEA and non-Swiss applicants use the international round for autumn entry, opening in mid October the year before studies start and closing on 15 January, with documents due on 1 February, both confirmed through the national admissions rules that Malmo University follows.

Malmo University's own tuition fees page states full program fees for non-EU/EEA students ranging from about SEK 110,000 for a one year master's program up to about SEK 520,000 for a full bachelor's program, covering the entire length of study rather than one academic year, since Malmo bills the total program cost split across semesters. The page confirms that non-EU/EEA students pay both an application fee and tuition, and that citizens of the EU, EEA and Switzerland pay neither.

Malmo teaches English language programs in fields such as media and communication studies, political science and international relations, alongside programs in computer science, health and other subjects. Selection is based on documented academic merit against each program's own requirements. Admitted fee paying students pay their tuition in installments per semester, then apply for a residence permit for studies through Migrationsverket.
