Orebro University admits master's students through universityadmissions.se, the national portal used across Sweden. Orebro's own how to apply page confirms the application period for programmes starting autumn 2027 runs from 16 October 2026 to 15 January 2027, the same as the shared national round. Its own study fees page for master's students confirms that non-EU, non-EEA and non-Swiss applicants pay both an application fee and tuition fees, that fee amounts are specific to each program, and it directs the reader to individual program pages for the exact cost. Five program pages checked directly in September 2026, across four schools, range from SEK 86,534 total for the one year Social Analysis programme to SEK 411,244 total for the two year Sports Physiology and Medicine programme, with Strategic Communication at SEK 120,390, Musicology at SEK 173,068 and Statistics, Statistical Modelling and Data Science at SEK 275,568.
Orebro University runs a smaller number of English taught master's programs than some larger Swedish universities, spread across its schools of business, science, medicine and humanities. Selection follows the same national process as elsewhere, based on documented academic merit against each program's own requirements. A bachelor's degree, normally at least 180 ECTS credits, in a relevant field, with prerequisites set by each program. English proficiency equivalent to English 6, generally IELTS Academic 6.5 overall with no section below 5.5, or TOEFL iBT total 90.
