Admission at a glance

NTNU runs its international admission through one office and one online system, and the prospectus published on 15 July 2026 covers both the 2026 autumn and the 2027 spring intakes. Autumn has two rounds and spring has one. For autumn 2026 the first round ran 3 November to 15 December 2025 and the second 12 January to 2 March 2026, with results on 2 March and 4 May and the semester beginning 1 September 2026. For spring 2027 the single window ran 3 August to 14 September 2026, with the admission review from 16 September to 6 November, results announced on 20 November 2026, online confirmation from 20 November to 4 December, the admission letter sent on 14 December and the semester starting on 22 February 2027. The application fee is not the same for every level: NT$1,200 or US$50 for a bachelor's programme, NT$1,500 or US$60 for a master's and NT$3,000 or US$120 for a doctorate, it is not refundable, and NTNU requires it to be paid before the deadline for the application to count. Applicants pay in Taiwan through the local banking channels or from abroad by wire transfer in US dollars quoting the application number, and the receipt or transfer proof is one of the required documents. Applicants may apply to more than one programme, but each programme is a separate application with its own number and its own document set, and no programme change is allowed once an application is complete. Departments may require a written exam, an interview or a technical test, and picture identification has to be shown at the test site. Degree and transcript deadlines are firm: 31 August 2026 for autumn entry and 31 January 2027 for spring. Financial proof of at least NT$150,000 or US$5,000 is part of the file. English is required at CEFR B1 or above for programmes taught in English, with departments free to set a higher level, and NTNU's scholarship for new international students is applied for inside the admission application itself, with the same deadline.
