Admission at a glance
NCCU splits its international admission for the 2027-28 academic year into two rounds, and the first is open now. Online applications run from 22 September 2026 to 5pm Taiwan time on 15 October 2026, and the university states plainly that a late application will not be accepted. The application fee is NT$1,600 or US$60 for each application, payable by card online or by international transfer, and it is never refunded, not for a cancelled application, an ineligible applicant, a late file, a duplicate payment or an overpayment. Documents have to be complete: after 22 October 2026 NCCU stops notifying applicants of anything missing, and a file that was not paid for, not fully uploaded or never confirmed and submitted online is treated as not applied for. Results can be checked from 27 November 2026; an admitted applicant must confirm online by 4 December 2026 and a waitlisted one by 11 December 2026, and missing that date forfeits the place. The diploma must carry a graduation date no later than 31 August 2027. Departments not recruiting in this round open in the second, which runs from 19 January to 4 March 2027, and any quota left unfilled in round one moves to round two. Only graduate degree applicants may use this round to start early, in February rather than September. Some departments add an interview, mostly in early November 2026, with the shortlist published on the department's own site. English is required at CEFR B1 or above for English-taught programmes, with only TOEFL, IELTS and TOEIC accepted, and departments are free to ask for more.
