Admission at a glance

NYCU admits international degree students twice a year, and the two intakes are not equivalent: the spring semester is open to graduate programmes only. For the 2027 spring semester the online application ran from 10 August to 11:59 on 30 September 2026, Taiwan time, with results including scholarship decisions announced on 13 November 2026, a reply deadline of 22 November and classes starting on 15 February 2027. For the 2026 fall semester, which is the undergraduate route, the system opened on 20 December 2025 and closed at 11:59 on 15 March 2026, with results in mid-May and replies due in late May. NYCU says plainly that late or incomplete applications are not considered. Scholarship results arrive with the admission result rather than separately, so an applicant who needs funding knows at the same time. English is required at CEFR B1 or above as a university floor, with the specific score set by the department, and applicants taught in English or holding a qualification from an English-speaking country are exempt from a test. Each semester runs sixteen weeks, fall from September to December and spring from February to June.
