National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University Admission Requirements 2027

National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University was formed in 2021 by merging Taiwan's leading medical university with its leading engineering one, and runs campuses in Taipei and Hsinchu next to the semiconductor industry. International tuition is NT$49,540 to NT$60,220 a semester for most undergraduates, rising to NT$210,480 in dentistry and NT$230,280 in medicine.

English test waiver

NYCU sets a university floor of CEFR B1 or above for English and leaves the exact test score to each department's own admission guidelines, so the programme page is where the number lives. It publishes an English Proficiency Test Comparison Chart for converting between tests. Two routes avoid a test entirely. An applicant whose previous institution taught its courses fully in English can submit an official certificate from the institution, department or supervising professor saying so. An applicant whose nationality or previous qualification belongs to a country NYCU counts as English-speaking submits only a passport or graduation certificate. Chinese proficiency is a separate requirement with its own accepted proofs, and applies to programmes taught in Chinese.
