National Tsing Hua University admits international degree students twice a year through its Office of Global Affairs. Applications for Spring 2027 undergraduate and graduate programmes run from 3 August to 30 September 2026, Taiwan time. For Fall 2026 the graduate application period ran from 15 December 2025 to 25 February 2026 and the undergraduate period from 25 November 2025 to 31 January 2026; Fall 2027 dates have not been published. The application fee is TWD 2,000 for one or two programmes and TWD 4,000 for three or four, and applicants holding the nationality of one of the Least Developed Countries apply free of charge. The university-wide English minimum is CEFR B2, for example TOEFL iBT 71 (4.0 on the new scale), TOEIC 750 or IELTS Academic 5.5, although some departments ask for more; applicants from English-speaking countries or with a degree taught fully in English can be exempt, and Chinese-taught programmes accept TOCFL A2 or HSK level 4. Tuition per semester for international students is TWD 46,100 or TWD 53,200 for undergraduates and TWD 26,300 to TWD 36,300 for graduate programmes, depending on the college, with a miscellaneous fee that depends on credits taken. The NTHU International Student Scholarship pays doctoral students NTD 20,000 to 40,000 a month and master's and bachelor's students NTD 5,000 a month, with tuition and credit fees waived.
