National Tsing Hua University Admission Requirements 2027

National Tsing Hua University was established in Beijing in 1911 as Tsing Hua Academy and re-established in Hsinchu, Taiwan, in 1956. International undergraduates pay TWD 46,100 to TWD 53,200 per semester in tuition and graduate students TWD 26,300 to TWD 36,300, and applications for Spring 2027 close on 30 September 2026. The application fee is TWD 2,000 for up to two programmes, and applicants with nationality of a Least Developed Country apply free.

English test waiver

Applicants from an English-speaking country, or whose previous degree was fully taught in English, can submit a nationality document or an official statement instead of a test. Applicants to Chinese-taught programmes can instead show TOCFL A2 or HSK level 4. Individual departments may set higher English minimums.
