Admission at a glance
NCKU admits international degree students twice a year and publishes a plain schedule for both. For entry in September 2026 the application period ran from 20 December 2025 to 15 March 2026, with results on 2 June and admission letters in late June. For entry in February 2027 the period runs from 1 July to 15 September 2026, with results on 30 November 2026 and admission letters in mid-December. General degree and dual degree applicants complete the online application through NCKU's portal before the deadline. The language certificate is decided by the programme rather than the applicant: NCKU marks each programme by teaching language, and a programme taught in English needs English at CEFR B1 while one taught in both Chinese and English needs Chinese at TOCFL A2 as well. Results and scholarship decisions are announced together, so a student applying for a university scholarship does not wait for a separate round. Overseas Chinese and mainland Chinese applicants use separate routes with their own prospectuses, as they do elsewhere in Taiwan. Fees are charged per semester and the first semester carries two small extra charges for new students, a network use fee and a language teaching fee.
