NTNU charges by the semester and the international rate is roughly double the domestic one, because non-APRC holding international students pay a doubled tuition and miscellaneous fee. Its own recruitment brochure, updated in August 2026, gives the international totals as NT$47,180 to NT$55,200 a semester for a bachelor's programme, NT$50,726 to NT$56,264 for master's and doctoral students in semesters one to four, and NT$27,794 to NT$33,332 from semester five onwards. The prospectus attachment behind those figures shows how the range is built: an undergraduate in a humanities department such as Education, Chinese, English or History pays NT$33,380 tuition plus NT$13,800 in fees for NT$47,180, a science department such as Mathematics, Physics or Life Science costs NT$33,700 plus NT$21,060 for NT$54,760, and Computer Science and Information Engineering, charged at the engineering rate, comes to NT$55,200. On top of tuition every student pays a computer and network facilities fee of NT$500 and a compulsory insurance fee of NT$205 per semester. Some departments add their own charge: English department undergraduates in the first three years pay NT$250 for language teaching practical training, Music department students pay NT$590, and music instruction at the College of Music is charged at NT$9,500 per credit hour. Credit fees for undergraduates are NT$1,390 a credit, or NT$2,780 for international students without an APRC. Living costs sit alongside this: the brochure prices a dormitory place in a two to six person room at NT$5,950 to NT$25,930 a semester, group student insurance at NT$211 and Taiwan's National Health Insurance at NT$2,478 to NT$4,956. Fees for the 2026 academic year may change, as both documents say.
