University of Minho Admission 2027: Deadlines, Fees, Requirements

Minho's Special Competition for International Students runs three phases, and they are not open to everyone equally. For 2026/27 the first phase, 26 January to 13 February, was only for holders of Brazil's ENEM exam, with placement lists on 12 March and enrolment 23 to 28 March. The second phase is the main one for most applicants: vacancies published on 10 April, applications 13 to 24 April, in-person entrance exams at Minho from 11 to 22 May, placement lists on 12 June and enrolment 23 to 30 June. The third phase, 5 to 19 August, was only for applicants already holding the access qualification, with lists on 14 September. Medicine interviews are held by video in each phase, and in the first phase only the 20 highest-ranked candidates are interviewed. Entrance exam grades from 2022 to 2025 were valid for 2026/27, and foreign exams judged equivalent can replace Minho's own. The application fee is EUR 68. The language of instruction has to be at B2, though B1 and, exceptionally, lower applicants can apply on condition of a language course. Tuition is paid in ten equal monthly instalments.
