University of Porto Admission 2027: Deadlines, Fees, Requirements

International students without Portuguese or EU nationality apply to the University of Porto's bachelor's and integrated master's courses through the special call for international students, which offered 712 vacancies for 2026/2027. That year the call ran in three phases: applications from 2 January to 6 February 2026, from 9 February to 2 April 2026, and from 2 June to 22 July 2026, with final results published on 13 March, 22 May and 4 September and registration in the following week. Some faculties, including Engineering, Medicine, Sciences, Sport, Economics and ICBAS, set their own calendars. The application fee for the special call is EUR 100 and is not refundable. Applicants must speak the course's language of instruction, usually Portuguese, at the independent user level and may be asked to take an oral test by video call. Tuition for International Student Status holders ranges from EUR 3,500 to EUR 16,500 a year. For master's degrees each faculty sets its own deadlines. The calendar for 2027/2028 entry has not yet been published.
