University of Borås Admission 2027: Deadlines, Fees, Requirements

The University of Borås admits international students to English-taught master's programmes through Sweden's University Admissions portal. For autumn 2026 the application round opened on 16 October 2025 and closed on 15 January 2026; the autumn 2027 dates have not been published, and the university's scholarship application for 2027 opens on 1 December 2026. Applicants from outside the EU/EEA pay an application fee of SEK 900. Selection depends on the programme: the Master's in Textile Value Chain Management, for example, uses a letter of motivation and an online interview in English. For most master's programmes the English requirement is the equivalent of English 6 from Swedish upper secondary school. Tuition is set per programme: the Master's in Textile Value Chain Management costs SEK 220,000 in total with a first payment of SEK 55,000, the one-year Master's in Informatics (Data-Driven IT Management) costs SEK 117,500 with a first payment of SEK 58,750, and the two-year Master's in Textile Engineering costs SEK 278,000 with a first payment of SEK 69,500. The university's scholarships for master's students are meant to cover about 75 percent of the tuition fee as a fee reduction and do not cover living costs; they are not offered for bachelor's or artistic programmes.
