Admission at a glance

TalTech takes students once a year, for the autumn semester only, and gives applicants from outside the EU the shortest window. In the 2026 cycle the application period for non-EU citizens ran from 1 February to 1 April 2026; citizens of OECD member states, Georgia and Ukraine, and other non-EU applicants living legally in Estonia, had until 1 May; and EU, EEA and Swiss citizens until 1 June, with studies starting on 31 August 2026. The autumn 2027 dates had not been published when this page was checked. The application fee is EUR 100 per applicant, allows applications to two programmes, is not refunded, and must be paid before the online application can be submitted, with the receipt uploaded to the application. Applicants with a previous TalTech degree or current TalTech students pay nothing. Master's applicants also take the GRE, with minimums of 145 in Verbal Reasoning, 150 in Quantitative Reasoning and 3.0 in Analytical Writing, although applicants with a full bachelor's degree from an EU, EFTA or OECD country are exempt and School of Business and Governance programmes set no thresholds. Non-EU students must pay the first year's tuition before studies begin. English is required at IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL iBT 75, and Duolingo is not accepted.
