Tallinn University of Technology Admission Requirements 2027

Tallinn University of Technology, TalTech, founded in 1918, describes itself as the largest university in Tallinn, with about 9,929 students and 4 bachelor's and 14 master's programmes taught fully in English. Non-EU students pay EUR 5,000 to EUR 7,000 a year for a bachelor's and EUR 3,800 to EUR 8,400 for a master's, the application fee is EUR 100 for two programmes, and in 2026 the non-EU window ran from 1 February to 1 April.

English test waiver

TalTech accepts only the tests it lists and no other way of showing English. IELTS Academic must be 6.0 overall with at least 5.5 in each component; TOEFL iBT 75 with at least 18 in reading, 17 in listening, 20 in speaking and 17 in writing; Cambridge English First, Advanced or Proficiency 165 overall with at least 160 in each component; PTE Academic 59 with at least 59 in each skill; or the TalTech English Test at CEFR B2. Duolingo is not accepted. The requirement is waived only for an International or European Baccalaureate, for bachelor's entry, or for on-site secondary education, a bachelor's or a master's degree taught fully in English in the EU or EEA, the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland or the United Kingdom.
