Admission at a glance

The Medical University of Plovdiv admits students to its English programmes through online entrance tests in Biology and Chemistry, plus an English Language Diagnostic Test for non-native speakers without an accepted certificate, all taken in English on the same day. For 2026-27 online registration opened on 2 March 2026 and exams were held on 15 April, 15 May, 16 June, 17 July and 18 August 2026, with registration closing a week before each, and an additional re-sit on 4 September 2026. Documents were accepted from 2 March to 11 September 2026. The score adds three times the biology mark, three times the chemistry mark and the English mark, for a maximum of 42 and a minimum of 21, and applicants need school grades of at least 62% of the maximum in biology and chemistry. The fee is EUR 30 for data processing and EUR 270 for the tests on each exam date, or EUR 400 for the re-sit date. Non-EU applicants' documents go to a Ministry of Education platform for approval, which follows within a month, before a type D visa. Admitted students pay a EUR 2,000 pre-enrolment fee that counts towards the first semester's tuition. Nursing admits on documents only.
