Medical University of Plovdiv Admission Requirements 2027

The Medical University of Plovdiv, founded in 1945, teaches Medicine, Dental Medicine, Pharmacy and Nursing in English. First-year students on the English programmes pay EUR 10,000 for Medicine or Dental Medicine, EUR 6,200 for Pharmacy and EUR 4,500 for Nursing in 2026-27, and sit online entrance tests in biology and chemistry, with an exam fee of EUR 300 per date.

English test waiver

The Medical University of Plovdiv's 2026-27 Admission Guide asks applicants to English programmes to prove English at CEFR level B1. Accepted proof includes a secondary school diploma from a country where English is the official language or language of instruction, an International Baccalaureate taken in English, a valid Cambridge, IELTS Academic, TOEFL iBT or PBT, PTE Academic, Michigan or Trinity certificate, or the university's own English Language Diagnostic Test, which non-native speakers without a certificate take on exam day. No minimum IELTS or TOEFL score is published, and the university's FAQ asks for B2, which conflicts with the Guide's B1.
