Admission at a glance

Admission to General Medicine and Dentistry at Palacký is by the faculty's own entrance examination in biology, chemistry and physics or mathematics, which can be taken only once in an academic year. Applications open on 1 November and there is no single closing date: the complete application, with every document uploaded and the EUR 80 administrative fee paid, must be in two weeks before the entrance examination date the applicant chooses. For the 2026 cycle the faculty ran more than twenty examination dates between 6 January and 28 August, online and in Olomouc and Tel Aviv, some organised with recruitment agencies, and closed applications on 31 July 2026. The sessions from 18 August onward were only for EU citizens and holders of a valid Czech residence permit. The faculty advises non-EU applicants to take an examination no later than May, because a Czech residence permit can take up to three months to arrange, and that advice is the real deadline for anyone from outside Europe. Applicants need secondary education equivalent to A-levels in three subjects; the faculty sets no minimum grade and accepts applications before A-levels are completed. Independent applicants can join any online examination date without an agency. The programme is six years, identical in curriculum to the Czech-taught one, accredited by the Association of Medical Schools in Europe, and the faculty notes accreditation for students from the USA, Canada and Malaysia.
