Admission at a glance

CTU's faculties run their own admissions, deadlines and fees, and this record follows the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, whose English-taught bachelor's and master's programmes draw most international applicants. For the 2026/27 academic year an applicant had to complete three steps by 31 March 2026: submit the electronic application at prihlaska.cvut.cz, pay the CZK 950 admission processing fee, and deliver the documents, which are a certificate of academic achievement, a certificate of English proficiency unless a native speaker, a letter of motivation, and optionally evidence of achievement in electrical engineering, computer science, mathematics or physics. Assessment is an online interview, with a test only if the admission committee asks for one; the topics and time are emailed after submission. Bachelor applicants must show a completed secondary school certificate and master's applicants a completed bachelor's by enrolment, which took place on 10 or 17 September 2026. The step that trips people up comes after admission: foreign education must be officially recognised, a process called nostrification that needs more documents than admission did. The faculty recommended applying by 21 August and required it by 30 September 2026, and states that enrolment is terminated if it is not completed. Tuition for the first semester is paid after enrolment, on arrival in Prague. One programme, the prg.ai master's, ran a separate second round in 2026 closing on 13 August.
