Masaryk University Admission 2027: Deadlines, Fees, Requirements

Admission at a glance

Masaryk has no single admission date. Each faculty sets its own deadline and most run both a September and a February intake, so the calendar is scattered across the year. The Faculty of Medicine closes on 31 July, the Faculty of Science on 28 February, and the Faculty of Education on 31 March for bachelor's and 30 April for master's. The Faculty of Arts and the Faculty of Economics and Administration close on 30 April for a September start, then on 30 September and 15 October respectively for a February one; the Faculty of Informatics closes 15 April and 15 October, and the Faculty of Social Studies 15 May and 31 October. The Faculty of Pharmacy is the one to read carefully: its window runs 1 December to 31 July for EU residents but 1 December to 31 May for applicants from outside the EU, two months earlier. Applications are submitted electronically and can be tracked through the process. Admission is by written entrance examination; for General Medicine and Dentistry the test covers biology and chemistry, and the faculty publishes sample tests and syllabi and sells preparatory courses, both a full programme and separate e-learning courses in biology, chemistry and physics. Master's applicants at some faculties submit a statement of purpose, a CV and a transcript as well, and applicants to certain programmes at the Faculty of Social Studies are shortlisted first and then interviewed rather than examined. Applicants with secondary or higher education from abroad have to prove it was completed, which is a separate process from admission.
