English test waiver
Masaryk requires documented English language proficiency at CEFR B2 level or above, proved by an official certificate, and the list of accepted certificates is set by each faculty rather than centrally. That requirement sits alongside the entrance examination rather than replacing it: an applicant to General Medicine or Dentistry still sits the written test in biology and chemistry, and applicants to several master's programmes still submit a statement of purpose and a CV in English. Applicants to some Faculty of Social Studies programmes, including International Relations and European Politics and Energy Policy Studies, are shortlisted on documents and then interviewed online, which is where their English is judged in practice. Because the accepted certificate list is faculty-specific, an applicant should confirm it with the faculty before booking a test.
