English test waiver
Applicants to General Medicine or Dentistry who are not native English speakers either submit a certificate or sit the faculty's own English test. The accepted certificates are Cambridge First (FCE) or higher, IELTS 6, TOEFL 87 and PTE Academic 59. Applicants who can prove their secondary or university education was carried out in English are exempt. The faculty publishes an English language sample test alongside its science sample tests. Note that English is not the only language the degree needs: Czech is compulsory for the first three years, because students work with patients and ward staff who may speak only Czech.
