Halmstad University admits international students to bachelor's and master's programmes through Sweden's University Admissions portal. For the International Master's Programmes round for autumn semester 2027, applications open on 16 October 2026 and close on 15 January 2027, and applications submitted on time are prioritised. Applicants from outside the EU, EEA and Switzerland pay a non-refundable application fee of SEK 900. The English entry requirement is the equivalent of English 6 from Swedish upper secondary school, which can be met through qualifying studies or an English test, and four-year engineering or technology bachelor's degrees from accredited Indian universities can count for master's applicants. Tuition fees vary by study field and level and are listed on each programme page: the Master's Programme in Information Technology (Data Science, AI and Machine Learning), 120 credits over four semesters, costs SEK 318,000 in total for the autumn 2027 intake, paid in instalments starting at SEK 79,500. Fee-paying students who rank a Halmstad programme as their first choice and apply by 15 January can apply for the Halmstad University Scholarship, which covers 25% or 50% of tuition, and it continues each semester if students complete 75% of their credits.
