Boğaziçi University Admission 2027: Deadlines, Fees, Requirements

Admission at a glance

Bogazici University admits international undergraduates outside Turkiye's domestic university entrance system, through a Students From Abroad quota assessed on a standardised test rather than school grades alone. Applicants submit one of three accepted results: the SAT, with programme specific minimums that run from a combined 1200 on Math and Evidence Based Reading and Writing for Education Faculty programmes up to a combined 1350 with at least 700 in Math for Engineering Faculty programmes; the national TR-YOS, with a minimum of 450 out of 500; or GCE A Level results in three relevant subjects. All three routes carry a two year validity window from the exam date. Alongside the test score, applicants submit an official high school transcript, a high school diploma or graduation certificate, a statement of purpose written in English, a passport copy, and, where relevant, proof of residency abroad for Turkish citizens or dual nationals who completed their schooling outside Turkiye. A non-refundable application fee of EUR 100, or its Turkish lira equivalent, is charged per programme applied to, paid into the university's Garanti BBVA accounts. English proficiency is assessed separately from admission: an accepted TOEFL iBT score of at least 79 overall with at least 22 on the writing section, an IELTS Academic score of at least 6.5 overall and on writing, or the university's own Bogazici University English Proficiency Test, decides whether a student starts the degree directly or spends time in the English Preparatory Programme first.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree

One of: SAT (minimum combined score depends on faculty, from 1200 for the Faculty of Education up to 1350 with at least 700 in Math for the Engineering Faculty and 1300 for the Faculty of Science); TR-YOS with a minimum of 450 out of 500; or GCE A Level results in three relevant subjects. All test results are valid for two years from the exam date. A high school diploma or graduation certificate and an official transcript are required alongside the test score.

English proficiency

Assessed separately from admission through TOEFL iBT (at least 79 overall, at least 22 on writing), IELTS Academic (at least 6.5 overall and on writing), or the university's own Bogazici University English Proficiency Test (BUEPT) sat after arrival.
