Sabancı University Admission 2027: Deadlines, Fees, Requirements

Sabancı University is a private, non-profit foundation university on Istanbul's Asian side, founded in 1996, teaching in English. International undergraduates apply with a school leaving average, SAT or TR-YOS result rather than the exam Turkish citizens sit, pay a USD 30 application fee, and are automatically considered for a merit scholarship that can cover up to 75 percent of the USD 36,500 annual tuition.

Admission at a glance

Sabancı University admits international undergraduates through its own evaluation rather than Turkiye's domestic placement exam, and does not require any single standardised test. Applicants may apply with their final high school grade point average alone, or strengthen the file with the SAT, which is not compulsory, or with a TR-YOS result of at least 350 out of 500, a route the university began accepting from 2023; the SAT Super score is not accepted. International Baccalaureate applicants need a minimum diploma score of 28 out of 45, and A Level applicants need grades from AAA to AAB, alongside similar country specific minimums published for other qualifications. Every applicant pays a non-refundable USD 30 application fee online by credit card; graduate applications carry no fee. Admission runs on a rolling basis, with the admissions committee evaluating completed files once or twice a month rather than against a single fixed deadline, though the intake window for a given entry year still opens and closes on published dates: the most recently confirmed window, for Fall 2026 entry, ran from 15 December 2025 to 28 August 2026. Every admitted international applicant is automatically considered for a merit scholarship of 25, 40, 50, 60 or 75 percent of tuition as part of the same evaluation, based on academic background, exam results and supporting documents, so the published tuition of USD 36,500 a year is not what most admitted students actually pay. Accommodation scholarships covering shared dormitory rooms are available on top of the tuition waiver for some students.
