Sabancı University is a private, non-profit foundation university on Istanbul's Asian side, founded in 1996, teaching in English. International undergraduates apply with a school leaving average, SAT or TR-YOS result rather than the exam Turkish citizens sit, pay a USD 30 application fee, and are automatically considered for a merit scholarship that can cover up to 75 percent of the USD 36,500 annual tuition.

Every international undergraduate applicant is automatically considered for a Sabancı merit scholarship of 25, 40, 50, 60 or 75 percent of tuition as part of the standard admission evaluation, with no separate scholarship application needed. Accommodation scholarships covering a shared dormitory room are available on top of the tuition waiver for some students.
