Admission at a glance
UWA runs a four-step international undergraduate application process: choose a course, check its entry requirements, prepare supporting documents such as academic results, English test scores and a passport copy, then apply online through the UWA Application Portal or an authorised agent and pay a non-refundable AUD 150 fee. Standard undergraduate entry requires English language proficiency at IELTS Academic 6.5 overall with no band below 6.0, or an accepted equivalent such as TOEFL iBT 82 or PTE Academic 64, though Law, Education, Dentistry and Medicine require IELTS 7.0 across all four skills. UWA publishes a full browsable fee list for every international undergraduate course each year; for 2026-commencing students the lowest published annual fee is AUD 38,900 (Bachelor of Education, Primary, Honours) and the highest is AUD 55,400 (the combined Engineering and Philosophy honours program), both based on a standard load of 48 credit points a year. Application closing dates for 2027 are set separately for three applicant groups: a group of specified nations (including India, Pakistan, the Philippines and Vietnam) closes earliest, most other overseas countries close next, and domestic or onshore applicants close latest, reflecting the longer visa processing time UWA expects for some source countries. For Semester 1, 2027 the specified-nations date is 28 December 2026 and the general international date is 11 January 2027; for Semester 2, 2027 the equivalent dates are 24 May and 7 June 2027. Some courses set their own earlier closing date, published on the course page.
