University of Tartu Scholarships 2027 for International Students

Tartu's main support for fee-paying international students is a system of automatic fee reductions of 25%, 50% or 100%, granted for one semester at a time on a limited number of places in some English-taught programmes. For example, Politics and Governance in the Digital Age gives five 100% reductions, Computer Science and Software Engineering ten 50% reductions each, and Science and Technology eight 50% reductions. Students do not apply; the reduction is granted automatically. The Institute of Computer Science pays specialisation stipends of EUR 240 a month for Computer Science bachelor's students and EUR 300 a month in the Computer Science, Software Engineering and Data Science masters, applied for by 1 October for autumn. Estonian government scholarships for international students are run by the Education and Youth Board.
