Szeged admits international students to its English language health science programmes on its own entrance examination rather than through a national system, and applications go through DreamApply at apply.u-szeged.hu, where an applicant may hold only one account. The entrance examination has a written part and an oral part, covering Biology, Chemistry including organic, inorganic and biochemistry, and English Language; where the Admissions Office hosts the examination, Physics may be taken instead of Chemistry, except for Stipendium Hungaricum candidates. Examinations are run online every second week from the end of February to the end of June, each session hosting roughly sixty to seventy candidates, with the written test on the first day and oral interviews on the second and third. Each session has its own registration deadline about three weeks earlier, and the university warns that dates can be extended when applications are heavy, as happened twice in the 2026 round. A single fee of EUR 300 covers both the application and the entrance examination, is paid once however many of the three permitted health science programmes are applied for, and includes up to two examination chances where the university offers them; transfer students pay a further EUR 200 evaluation examination fee. An applicant still in their final year of school may apply and sit the examination on proof of attendance. Choosing the last available examination date leaves no room for a retake.
