University of Szeged Tuition Fees 2027 for International Students

These are the Albert Szent-Györgyi Medical School's fees for students beginning in the 2026/2027 academic year, which is what Szeged publishes in a readable form; the university's other faculties price separately on a page that carries no figures. General Medicine is EUR 15,800 a year, split as EUR 7,900 a semester, for years two to five. The first year is the same EUR 15,800 but arrives as EUR 7,100 of tuition plus an EUR 800 deposit in the first semester and EUR 7,900 in the second. The sixth year is EUR 7,900 in total, and a student is entitled to spend half of that year's practice at the university hospitals, with more charged pro rata. The Foundation Year is EUR 6,800 for the year, EUR 2,600 of tuition plus the EUR 800 deposit in the first semester and EUR 3,400 in the second. The tuition fee includes general health insurance valid in Hungary but not textbooks, accommodation or living costs, and fees can change if a student falls behind the suggested study plan. Three reductions of EUR 300 exist and can be worth chasing: an early bird reduction in the first semester for anyone admitted by 30 April, a sibling reduction per semester where two or more children of one family hold active student status at the same faculty on full fees, and an alumni reduction per semester for the child of a graduate of the English or German language medical programme. Payment for the first semester is due within fourteen days of the admission letter; the second semester follows the academic system's deadlines and may be split into at most three instalments. Separately, a combined application and entrance examination fee of EUR 300 is paid once at application, and transfer students pay a further EUR 200.
