University of Padua Admission 2027: Deadlines, Requirements, Fees for International Students

Padua assesses non-EU applicants through its own online application system, apply.unipd.it, alongside the mandatory Universitaly pre-enrolment for those who need a study visa. Bachelor's applicants need a secondary school qualification giving at least a twelve-year school record; master's applicants need a bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Programmes taught in English require a B2-level certificate such as IELTS 6.0, TOEFL iBT 80 or PTE Academic 65, unless the applicant already holds a degree taught entirely in English. Courses at Padua start at the end of September or the beginning of October, and direct enrolment in the second semester is not available, so applicants should plan around a single autumn intake each year. Tuition is calculated under the ISEE system and ranges from zero, for students in the lowest income bracket who fall inside the university's no-tax area up to EUR 30,000 ISEE, to about EUR 3,000 a year at the top of the scale; the first instalment, a fixed regional tax and stamp duty of EUR 208, is always due regardless of income. Padua also runs its own Padua International Excellence Scholarship Programme, offering full tuition waivers and a living stipend to non-EU applicants to English-taught degrees.

Requirements

Bachelor

A secondary school qualification recognised as giving access to university study, normally twelve years of schooling. Programmes taught in English ask for a B2-level certificate; programmes taught in Italian ask for B2 Italian.

Master

A bachelor's degree in a field relevant to the chosen programme. English-taught programmes ask for a B2-level English certificate unless the applicant's previous degree was taught entirely in English.
