Admission at a glance
The University of Oslo admits to its English taught master's programmes once a year and runs several routes with different dates. The international master's route closes on 1 December, and one of the routes publishes results on 8 December; others close on 15 October, 1 March or 15 April, and the European Master in Health Economics and Management is a separate admission whose portal opens on 6 January with a 1 March deadline. Depending on the route an applicant may name up to two or three programmes in order of preference. The list cannot be changed after the deadline, and an offer on a first preference cancels the lower ones, so the ranking is a real decision rather than a formality. English has to be documented with one of the accepted tests unless an exemption applies, and Oslo sets a higher bar for its European Languages programmes than for everything else. Tuition is charged to applicants from outside the EU, the EEA and Switzerland, and the exact figure comes with the offer; Oslo is unusual in publishing its full programme by programme table two academic years ahead, so an applicant can see the 2027/28 price before applying in December 2026.
