Admission at a glance

OsloMet admits applicants from outside the EU, the EEA and Switzerland to its international master's programmes once a year. The application portal Søknadsweb opens on 15 October and the deadline for non-EU/EEA applicants is 1 November, so applicants for autumn 2027 apply between 15 October and 1 November 2026; EU/EEA applicants have later deadlines of 1 March and 15 April. All required documents must be uploaded by the deadline. Applicants must prove English with IELTS Academic 6 with at least 6 in each component, TOEFL iBT 80 with at least 20 in each section, PTE Academic 62 or a Cambridge certificate, unless they completed upper secondary education in a listed English-speaking country. For 2026/2027 the tuition fee for non-EU/EEA students is set per programme: NOK 67,000 a year for International Development, Education and Sustainabilities, NOK 95,000 for Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Applied Computer and Information Technology, and between NOK 67,000 and NOK 95,000 for other master's programmes. The fee must be paid in full before each academic year with no instalments, and it does not cover living costs. Every student also pays a semester fee of NOK 690 to the student welfare organisation SiO and a copy fee of NOK 220 per semester for full-time students. OsloMet does not currently offer scholarships or loans, and there are no national scholarships available.
