Tuition applies to applicants with citizenship from outside the EU, the EEA and Switzerland who are offered admission, and Oslo publishes a programme by programme table two academic years ahead. For 2027/28 it lists 24 master's programmes at NOK 186,000 a year, mostly in the humanities and social sciences, 30 at NOK 218,000, mostly in the sciences, informatics and technology, and Ibsen Studies Online at NOK 124,000. For 2026/27 the same table runs from NOK 136,000 to NOK 295,000, so the rates move year to year and an applicant should read the row for their own intake. Joint and European joint degrees are priced by the programme rather than by the table. Single course students are charged by credit within their subject area: for 2026/27, between NOK 24,670 and NOK 30,330 for a 10 credit course at bachelor's level and between NOK 34,000 and NOK 49,170 at master's level. An admitted applicant is told the exact fee with the offer, and the rates are adjusted annually.
