International undergraduate applicants need at least one of: a GCE A-Level or equivalent with grade C in the required subjects, a foundation certificate with a CGPA of 3.00 out of 4.00, a diploma with a CGPA of 2.00 out of 4.00, the International Baccalaureate with 24 points and a 4 in core subjects, or Australian Matriculation with grade C. Engineering, technology and computer science programmes require Math, Physics and Chemistry (or Math and a non-language subject for technology) at the qualifying level. UTP sets a general English floor of IELTS 5.0 or TOEFL iBT 40 for Engineering, Sciences, Technology and Computer Science programmes, rising to IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL iBT 46 for Business Management; an official letter confirming English as the medium of instruction is accepted instead of a test score. The processing fee is USD 50, non-refundable. UTP publishes tuition as a whole-programme figure effective May 2026, rather than per year: Business Management costs RM 110,000 over three years and four months, science, computing and business-related science programmes cost RM 165,000, and its four-year integrated engineering programmes (chemical, electrical and electronics, mechanical and petroleum) cost RM 240,000, all figures excluding the 6 percent Sales and Service Tax charged to international students.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree

At least one of: A-Level or equivalent with a minimum Grade C (60 percent) in the required subjects, a foundation certificate with a CGPA of 3.00/4.00, a diploma with a CGPA of 2.00/4.00, the International Baccalaureate with 24 points including 4 in core subjects, or Australian Matriculation with Grade C. Engineering programmes require Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry; Technology programmes require Mathematics and a non-language subject.

English language

Engineering, Sciences, Technology and Computer Science: IELTS 5.0 or TOEFL iBT 40. Business Management: IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL iBT 46. An official 'English as the Medium of Instruction' letter from the applicant's previous institution is accepted instead of a test score.
