Admission at a glance

Copenhagen Business School is a public, specialist business university in Frederiksberg, part of the Copenhagen urban area, teaching bachelor's programmes mainly in Danish with a smaller set taught in English, and most of its master's programmes in English. Applicants are split into two groups: Group 1 covers EU/EEA/Swiss citizens, who apply by 1 March for a September master's start, and Group 2 covers non-EU/EEA/Swiss citizens who need a Danish student residence permit, who apply earlier, by 15 January; CBS also runs a separate winter application round for its MSc in Business Administration and Digital Business, with a 15 October deadline for Group 2 applicants.

Group 2 applicants pay an application fee of EUR 150 per applicant per admission round, waived for applicants holding certain Danish residence permits or a Danish bachelor's degree. Full time master's tuition for fee paying students is EUR 16,000 a year (DKK 120,000), billed as EUR 8,000 (DKK 60,000) a semester; citizens of the EU, EEA, Switzerland and the Nordic countries pay no tuition. English requirements are set per programme rather than on one central page, but CBS's English level B standard for graduate programmes is an IELTS Academic score of 7.0 overall with at least 6.0 in each part, higher than the English B level most other Danish universities use; language documentation is due by the same date as the programme application.
