Requirements
Bachelor
Most bachelor's programmes are taught in Danish; a smaller number, including some international business programmes, are taught in English. A qualifying foreign upper secondary exam and, for programmes taught in English, proof of English proficiency.
Master
A relevant bachelor's degree meeting the specific programme's academic prerequisites. English level B graduate programmes ask for an IELTS Academic score of 7.0 overall with at least 6.0 in each part; exact test requirements are set per programme, and CBS bachelor graduates and applicants with an English medium prior degree can be exempt from extra documentation.
Documents
Passport copy, academic transcripts and degree or upper secondary certificates, proof of English proficiency for the specific programme applied to, and, for Group 2 (non-EU/EEA/Swiss) applicants, proof of the EUR 150 application fee payment unless exempt.
How to apply
- Check the entry requirements and language of instruction for the chosen programme on CBS's own pages.
- Apply directly through CBS for a master's programme, or through optagelse.dk for most bachelor's programmes.
- Group 2 (non-EU/EEA/Swiss) applicants pay the EUR 150 application fee, unless exempt, and submit documents by 15 January (or 15 October for the winter round of MSc in Business Administration and Digital Business).
- Group 1 (EU/EEA/Swiss) applicants submit documents by 1 March.
- Receive the admission decision.
- Accept the offer, pay the first semester's tuition (EUR 8,000) by 17 December if required, and apply for a Danish residence permit for study through SIRI.
English test waiver
CBS bachelor graduates and applicants who completed a prior degree taught fully in English can be exempt from further language documentation; check the specific programme page.
