Ca' Foscari University of Venice sets tuition for non-EU students through a flat annual tax that depends on the applicant's country of citizenship rather than a single figure. For the 2026/2027 academic year, students from a Ministry-published list of Low Human Development Countries pay EUR 700 a year at both bachelor's and master's level; students from other non-EU countries pay EUR 1,300 a year; and students from OECD countries outside the EU, including the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Australia, Japan and South Korea, among others, pay EUR 2,100 a year for a bachelor's degree and EUR 2,300 for a master's. All of these figures already include the EUR 192 regional tax for the right to university study and EUR 16 stamp duty. Non-EU students who have lived in Italy for at least two years, or who are related to an Italian or EU citizen, can instead apply for an ISEE-based reduction if their equivalent ISEE is EUR 60,000 or below, obtained through a CGIL CAF office linked to the university. Fees are paid in three instalments during the year. Applicants apply online through the apply.unive.it portal, which also handles the non-refundable EUR 30 application fee covering up to two programme choices. Non-EU applicants needing a study visa complete Universitaly pre-enrolment; for 2026/27 the university set 30 September 2026 as its own deadline for considering Universitaly applications, with final enrolment due by 18 December 2026. Master's programmes taught in English ask for a B2-level certificate, with IELTS 5.5 as the minimum most commonly stated; bachelor's programmes generally ask for a lower IELTS 4.0.
