The University of Bremen is a public research university in the city state of Bremen, recognised for marine and space sciences, engineering and the social sciences. It charges no tuition fee to international students, and the university states plainly that application and processing of documents is free of charge. Requirements

Bachelor's

Applicants need a higher education entrance qualification recognised as equivalent to the German Abitur, reviewed through uni-assist for most non-EU applicants. Master's

Applicants need a relevant bachelor's degree and apply directly to the university rather than through uni-assist. English-taught master's programmes commonly ask for a certificate at CEFR C1, equivalent to IELTS 7.0 or TOEFL iBT 95, though some programmes accept B2.
