Admission at a glance
Universidad Carlos III de Madrid is a public university on several campuses in and around Madrid, smaller than UCM or UAM and known for social science, engineering and several bachelor and master degrees taught fully in English. A non-EU applicant without Bachillerato accreditation cannot take part in UC3M's ordinary national pre-enrolment call; instead the applicant requests Bachillerato accreditation through UNEDasiss, which combines secondary-school grades (60 percent) and any UNED Specific Competency Test (PCE) results (40 percent) into an access grade out of ten, then adds bonus points from the two best PCE subjects toward an admission grade out of fourteen. Alongside this national route, UC3M runs its own rolling Early Admission process for international applicants: for entry in 2026-27 this window opened on 22 September 2025 and closes 10 April 2026, with places filled as applications are processed and a programme removed from the list once it is full; UC3M's own page already listed the Bachelor in International Studies, Bachelor in Finance and Accounting, and Bachelor in Neuroscience as full ahead of the deadline. An extraordinary call in July exists for applicants without Bachillerato accreditation, though UC3M notes it is unlikely to have places left by that stage. Tuition is charged per ECTS credit under the Community of Madrid's price decree, and UC3M's own non-EU fee schedule matches the shared Madrid bracket, from EUR 113.71 a credit for social science and humanities degrees up to EUR 136.44 a credit for the highest-experimentality degrees. Every English-taught bachelor and master programme requires a full B2 English diploma; UC3M's own pages set this at IELTS Academic 5.5 or TOEFL iBT 72 across both levels, evidenced in all four skills, with an exemption for native English speakers or graduates of a fully English-taught prior degree.
