Admission at a glance
Politecnico di Torino runs a two-call admission cycle for non-EU applicants holding a foreign secondary school diploma or degree. Applicants register on the university's own online portal, complete the application form, upload academic transcripts and identity documents, and pay a EUR 50 non-refundable application fee that supports the document check carried out by the Recruitment and Admissions Unit. Once the documents are verified, an academic committee reviews the applicant's prior study and assesses fit with the chosen programme, issuing one of three outcomes: eligible, conditional or not eligible. Applicants who do not already hold a residence permit in Italy and need a study visa must also register on the Ministry's Universitaly portal once they receive their eligibility outcome, so that the Italian embassy or consulate in their country of residence can process the visa application. For the 2026/27 cycle the university ran two calls, the first closing in February 2026 with results in April and a visa pre-enrolment deadline at the end of June, and a second call closing in April 2026 with results in June and a visa deadline in mid July. Master's programmes taught in English ask only for a B2-level English certificate; programmes taught in Italian or delivered bilingually also require a B2 Italian certificate. Tuition follows an income-linked formula rather than a flat figure, described in the fees section below.
